1. Gardens associated with The Court (Nprn45091), depicted on OS County series (Monmouth. I.15 1882); site dominated by monastic ruins (Nprn95238), other medieval features, notably ponds and water features, may have been incorporated into the later gardens.
There is a possible re-use of monastic outer court as warren (Nprn306272) which may be associated with the occupation of The Court from the late eighteenth century or could relate to an earlier arrangement.

2. This garden is depicted on the Second Edition Ordnance Survey 25-inch map of Monmouthshire I, sheet 15 (1900). Its main elements on that map include pond, parterres, lodge and contrived antiquity.
