DisgrifiadA tunnel passage in a row of woollen weavers' houses (built 1835-41), nos.6-9, on the south side of Union Street in Newtown's woollen district, Penygloddfa (nprn 400005), gave access to houses in Mathew's Court. The four storey weavers houses, with working areas on the upper two floors, were part of the adjacent New Factory (nprn 410676) on the west side. All were demolished in 1984 and the area is currently a public open space named Mathew's Court.
