DisgrifiadCarmarthen's Presbyterian College Evangelical Chapel was built in 1840 to train students for the Non-conformist ministry. In 1842 it was affiliated to the University of London and became the first institution in Wales offering training for a university degree. The college closed in 1963 and following a period of use as office accommodation the building became Carmarthen Evangelical Church. The Church is built in a picturesque gothic style with two storeys and a long-wall entry plan. The church is now Grade 2 Listed for it's early Victorian and unusual Tudor Gothic style, as well as it's historical importance in the history of further education in Wales.
