Event and Historical Information:
The SAINT MIRREN was a steamship carrying a cargo of limestone. On 26 February 1926 en route from Llanddulas to Glasgow, the cargo shifted during a gale and the vessel foundered with the loss of 4 lives. The loss location was given as 15miles south-southeast of Chicken Rock Light or 53 48 30N, 04 40 W.
